Welcome to Fleming Springs Ranch

Enjoy hunting on over 4000 acres of Texas hill country and rolling grassland located on an outcropping of Ellenberger Limestone in San Saba County.  Simpson Creek traverses the ranch, providing water and divers habitat for wildlife.  The ranch has been under an intensive improvement regime for over three decades.  Improvement efforts include extensive brush control, controlled burning, road and fence construction and maintenance, and an overall effort to conserve and improve all natural resources.  The ranch implemented an aggressive whitetail deer management program that has been in effect since 1999.  Pursuant to this program, an eight foot perimeter game fence was completed in the summer of 2004, and a supplemental feeding program commenced in the winter of 2006.

The ranch is under the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Managed Land Deer Program (MLD). TPWD estimates the deer population on the ranch to be one deer per nine acres, with a ratio of two does per buck.   The ranch will offer 20 hunts for the 2011-2012 season.
